It's the 14th, and we are celebrating a daily diary with my friend, Jenny. I will be back this evening to post about our day :)

Update 10:45pm...
Our day was a nice one :) The sun peeked out every now and then, but it was a cloudy, laid back kind of day for the most part. Here’s how it went…
First thing this morning, we spent lots of time reading and playing. I love that my sweeties still ask to do that! Then came breakfast and first fives (our morning routine things).
We all loaded into the car for errands in town, stopping by the post office first for some one cent stamps and to mail our “thank yous” for the lovely shower gifts we received for baby. Off to the strawberry market after that, we bought two gorgeous bucketsful of fresh strawberries - just picked this morning!
I couldn’t help but think that that was where the sun was today, tucked into those buckets of bright red berries :)
Next, we were off to the office supply, and then a quick trip by our favorite lunch spot for something yummy to share for lunch at home.
As soon as we unloaded the car, we enjoyed our lunch together - and then the children played a little while so I could get us organized for the afternoon.
We gathered for some table time, where Miss M worked on the story she is writing, some Bible art, and a little bit of fractions and Mr S made a picture of Clifford with his color sticks (all color triangular crayons), and read some books.
Our favorite part of table time today was the next chapter in our Narnia book. We are reading The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. M & S love it!
After this, everyone was ready for rest time, so Mr S napped, Miss M worked on a book she is making and read and played a bit. I worked on some housework and bookwork here at the computer :)
Rest time ended, and we worked together in the kitchen washing dishes. Then we shared a snack as J came in the door. The children went out to play with Daddy, while I prepared supper.
Our Wednesday evenings are very busy ones! We share our meal quickly, and then J heads off to church while we head out with my sister and her sweeties to visit my Grandmother. We had a very lively visit - the children are so excited to be together and to be at Great-Grandmother’s! We talked, and they made some art and played cars and trains and made paper airplanes. Our treat tonight was fresh strawberries and oatmeal cookies, which everyone enjoyed.
Arriving home when it’s already after bedtime sends us into overdrive getting into bed before the crisis point (tears and weariness) - lol. J worked with the sweeties getting them ready and doing our family worship.
Tonight, I was mid-project, having made chicken broth in the crock-pot. It simmered all day long (and smells heavenly), so I was needed in the kitchen to ladle it into cartons for the freezer.
Just now, the sweeties are all tucked in and J is working on his sermon for Sunday. I am updating here and will soon be headed in for a good sleep!

Hello Quinne
Thank you for telling about your lovely day
You reminded me I have some chicken stock in the freezer to be used for soup. Could be tomorrow's dinner
Take care
Cathy
